Is this cart easy to push in front of you, like a regular shopping cart?

it can't, and i don't understand your meaning clearly. it is ust a cart, itcan help you add convenient to hold taller groceries and it is easy storage.
can i used for fishing?

I don’t think it’s appropriate for fishing, ice will leak through. Great for carrying supplies. It’s great for anything except ice.
Is this an easy assembly?

Yes it is so easy to fiture out and sturdy enough that your kid (the weight capacity is about 55lbs)may stand steady inside the crate.
What size file folders should i get to fit crate?

It is perfect for standard size folders.
Does it come with a lid?

No it doesn't have a lid. I love mine, lightweight rolls nicely compact hen folded

I have not put it into action yet but I can say it looks convenient. My only concern is the wheels being plastic if they break you can't fix it. Personally having a replaceable wheel would be nicer. And it does seem a bit flimsy. When opening it the sides have no way to hold them open except for the bottom of the cart. It would have been a nice idea to put a sliding piece of plastic on the top of the sides to help keep them open and for better stability. When this one breaks I'll be buying a metal cart which is what I was trying to avoid.
